UWF Community Gardens

This project provides site lighting to the University of West Florida’s community garden adjacent to Building 950.

Presently, the community garden is not illuminated.  The new site lighting design will incorporate University of West Florida-standards-compliant, high-efficiency LED fixtures, providing a minimum light level of 2 Footcandles on all pathways. Special consideration will be given to the light fixture color temperatures as well as pole mounting heights in order to maintain the aesthetic of the natural landscape. Dell Consulting is working with the community garden administration and landscape architects to provide a photovoltaic system to support the project. The system will consist of a 10 panel solar array and will be dual metered, enabling the administration to report energy savings to students and community members.
