Special attention must be given to infection control, as well as illumination and comfort levels for patients, caregivers, and visitors. Every effort must be made to contain facility capital and operational costs, improve maintainability, and reduce energy costs.

USA Health Freestanding Emergency Department

The facility is nearly 21,000 SF specifically designed for 24-hour Emergency Care.  The facility offers Medical Imaging Services, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiographic Imaging, Digital Mammography and Ultrasound.  The facility is supplied with Medical Gas.

USA Health Fanny Meisler Trauma Center

Expansion and new building addition for the existing Level 1 Trauma Center and Emergency Department at the University Hospital Medical Center. The Fanny Meisler Trauma Center is approximately 27,000 SF, nearly triple the amount of space in the current University Hospital emergency department.

This new construction project of 90,000 SF provides three floors of outpatient healthcare services for USA Health in Mobile, Alabama.  Spaces include waiting areas, exam rooms, pharmacy, laboratory work areas, breakrooms, training/conference rooms, offices, and an imaging suite.

Project addressed the restoration of the 67,400 SF, 6-story Bay Medical Center medical office building that was severely damaged during Hurricane Michael. The building sat vacant and without power for nearly a year prior to the start of design.

The 10,000 SF clinic is an academic cancer treatment center located in Fairhope, Alabama. The clinic provides infusion services to cancer patients. The facility design includes patient infusion area, exam rooms, a certified compounding pharmacy compounding, administrative offices, and support spaces.

The design included network cabling, controllers, and BAS front end for over 258,000 SF of space throughout buildings 1529 and 1530. The project addressed aging mechanical and controls systems in an existing medical facility, while also improving energy efficiency, system monitoring, sustainability, and serviceability.
