As part of this project, a new telecommunications room was constructed around the existing middle school’s main telecommunications infrastructure in order to provide a secure telecommunications space and accommodate future expansion. As part of the Media Center renovation, the aging structured cabling system serving the 18,000 SF Media Center Building was replaced. Additionally, the Escambia County School District wireless antenna infrastructure was replaced, requiring close coordination and phasing in order to minimize connectivity downtime to downstream schools.
